The Studio

The workshops are conducted in a professional studio in Chai Wan.  The address is:

18 Ka Yip Street,

Chai Wan, HK

Here's a link to Google Maps, showing the location of the building:

Directions by MTR:

Take the MTR to Heng Fa Chuen, one stop before the Chai Wan terminus on the east end of the Island Line.  Heng Fa Chuen is just 20 minutes from Admiralty and 15 minutes from Causeway Bay.

Then it is just a very short $20 taxi ride to the Ming Pao Industrial Centre.

Here's the address in Chinese:

香港 柴灣 嘉業街 18號
明報工業中心B座403室

Directions by bus:

Get the 788 bus from Jardine House in Central, or HKAPA or Immigration Tower.  This is an express bus that uses the Island Eastern Corridor.  Get off at the first first stop after the bus leaves the end of the freeway.  That first bus stop is outside the Chai Wan Industrial City building in Wing Tai Road, just 50 metres from the start of Ka Yip Street.  Walk from the bus stop to the next corner and turn left onto Ka Yip Street.  The Ming Pao Industrial Centre is about 150 metres down the street, on the right.  The sign on the front of the building says "M.P. Industrial Centre".  Be sure to enter the "B" lobby entrance.

The bus ride from Imimigration Tower takes about 10 minutes.

Directions by car:

It's very easy. Drive east from Causeway Bay on the Island Eastern Corridor, past Tai Koo Shing.

Stay on the freeway, following the signs towards Chai Wan and Siu Sai Wan. Do not take any exits.

Do not take the Chai Wan exit at the end of the freeway.

At the end of the freeway, proceed past the Chai Wan exit and over the small flyover, still following the signs towards Siu Sai Wan.

Do not take the Heng Fa Chuen exit. The freeway has ended here and about 100 metres further along you'll see the Chai Wan Industrial City as the first major building on the left.

Get in the left lane here and turn left at the first set of traffic lights on the corner immediately at the end of this block (Cornell Centre). When you turn left you'll see the fire station on your right.

After turning left at the traffic lights, you'll now be in Ka Yip Street. Stay in the left lane to proceed straight through the next set of traffic lights just 30 metres later.

The Ming Pao Industrial Centre is the last pair of buildings on the right on this block. (The sign on the building says "M.P. Industrial Centre".) There is a car park in the building on the 3rd floor.  It costs HK$20/hour.

There is another car park which is cheaper (HK$12/hour and maximum HK$70/day).  It is a multi-story carpark in the next street on the right, Sun Yip Street, immediately at the end of the M.P. Industrial Centre. Turn right into Sun Yip Street, then 200m later turn left into the car park of the No. 8 Commercial Building. The No. 8 Commercial Building is the first tall building on your left in Sun Yip Street.

When walking back from the car park to the studio, be sure to enter the "B" lobby entrance of the Ming Pao Industrial Centre, which is the lobby entrance to the right of the main car & lorry entrance.

.

Turn left at the Cornell Centre which is on the corner of Wing Tai Road and Ka Yip Street.  Wing Tai Road is the natural end of the Island Eastern Corridor expressway. Ka Yip Street is on the left at the first set of traffic lights.
